3 Days Uganda Tour taking you to trek chimpanzees in Kibale national park to trek habituated chimpanzees and visit the Bigodi swamp.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
One of our professional safari guides will pick you from your accommodation and then drive to Fort Portal town. The picturesque drive goes for about 5 hours. Have lunch in fort Portal and proceed to Ndali Lodge or Rwenzori View Guest House for an overnight before setting out tracking chimps the next day.
Rest through the afternoon; alternatively walk around the adjacent towns and villages.
Overnight at Ndali Lodge or Rwenzori View Guest House or Mantana Tented Camp.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
By 8:00 am be at the ranger station with Kibale National Park to start tracking habituated chimp groups. These charming apes are most related existing creatures to humans and are very exciting to watch as play and feed high in the fruiting trees. The impressive forest is a habitat to more than 13 primate species among which are the uncommon L’Hoest, grey Mangabey, black-faced vervet monkeys, bush babies, red-colobus monkey, the blue monkey, pottos and baboons. The shady trails in the forest unveil a lot to botanist as well as butterfly lovers and the 335 bird species among which are Prirogrine’s ground thrush offer more to birders. The hard to pin down forest elephants which are hairier plus smaller than the savanna elephants occasionally visit the develop section of the park. Other resident animals include the huge forest hog, various antelope species plus buffaloes.
On tracking the chimpanzees, we will drive back to the capital Kampala to arrive later in the afternoon and be accompanied up to your hotel.
