Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali city tour – Transfer to Volcanoes NP
Our company guide will pick you up from your hotel or airport for a Kigali city tour. Depending on the time of arrival, if your arrive early, you will have a Kigali tour to the Gisozi genocide site, the national museum, the markets, later have lunch and proceed to Volcanoes national park situated north of Kigali. The two hours drive to Musanze takes you through the green rolling hills of the Vurunga massif, reaching in time for your dinner and overnight at at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Volcanoes Lodge ( Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range)
Muhabura Hotel (Basic).

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda
Today is the awaited day of meeting the gorillas, the day starts with breakfast at your hotel and head out for briefing at the Kinigi head offices. The briefing session entails the what to do and dont when trekking for gorillas and in their presence. In Volcanoes national park, you have the chance to choose the type of gorilla trekking experience for medium, simple and hard trek. We advice you to be realistic with your fitness and health to pick the right trek which will not over strain you. When you find the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Once you ascend from the forest, you will have lunch and immediately hit the road off to Kigali.
