Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls
Following breakfast, the guide will collect you from your hotel to drive to the Murchison falls National Park. The drive takes past the Luwero triangle, through the Budongo forest in the western arm of the Rift Valley. You will be rewarded with splendid views of the countryside. Arrive in the afternoon and head to the summit of the falls to enjoy the breathtaking views of the falls and the surrounding terrain. You will marvel at the waters of the great Nile forcefully making their way through the small 7 meter gorge and drop below to more than 40 meters with a thunderous roar, it is such a marvelous sight! Dine and slumber at Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chilli Rest Camp or Paraa Lodge or Kaniyo Pabidi Camp or Masindi Hotel.
Day 2: Murchison Wildlife Tour
Before sunrise, begin the day with an early game drive in the early morning to see the early risers plus the predators. Some of the animals you will see include: jackals, giraffe, antelope, Uganda kob, hyenas, lion and elephants. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast plus lunch. enjoy an afternoon launch cruise on spectacular Victoria Nile which will journey you to the spectacular bottom of the Murchison Falls seeing animals like buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles and elephants along the river banks and not to forget are the numerous aquatic birds like the uncommon shoebills plus the fish eagle. Dine and sleep at Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chilli Rest Camp or Paraa Lodge or Kaniyo Pabidi Camp or Masindi Hotel.
Day 3: Kibale Primates Forest Park
Enjoy breakfast and then continue to Kibale National park where you will arrive in the afternoon, have a delicious lunch and rest. Dine and slumber at Primates Lodge, or Ndali lodge, alternatively at Rwenzori Travelers Inn
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking from the Primates Forest
On having breakfast, set out looking for Chimps within the tropical wet forest of Kibale. As you look for this closely related species, you will come across other primates like the Bush babies, Mangabeys, the colobus monkeys and baboons. The guide will keep on educating you about the flora and fauna in this place and also brief more about these chimps. After having lunch, you will enjoy a walk in the Bigodi Sanctuary which is comprised of odd plant and animals as well as birds. Day 5: Semuliki National Park
In the early morning drive to Semiliki National Park. This drive will journey to the lower eastern part of L. Albert. Located within the western Rift Valley basin, the Semliki National Park is among the parks with various habitat among which are Riparian forests, high savanna-grass, rainforests ad low savannah-grass. It is prominent for its game drives conducted at night during which you will catch sight of the night-time residents such as slender mongoose, cats, leopards, white-tailed mongoose, standard winged nightjars, hyenas and pennant winged nightjars. This is the only park in Uganda that offers lit night drives. Generally, the park offers numerous surprises awaiting you to unfold. Slumber in Kanyankyu Ecological site or Semliki safari Lodge (FB)
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National park situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori. The voyage will present exciting game drives along the way. Some of the animals to watch out for include: leopard, elephant, Lions, buffalo and water birds. Arrive in the afternoon at the park to have lunch, and then continue for a thrilling launch trip along the Kazinga channel. You will see thousands of hippos, aquatic birds plus buffaloes on the shores. Dine and sleep at Jacana Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge
Day 7: Wildlife Tour of Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin the day with a game drive in the early morning to see the early risers plus the predators. The drive is so interesting with sights of bush bucks, hyenas, elephants, bush pigs, Lions, buffaloes and jackals. Following the drive, return at the lodge for lunch. Afterwards, proceed to the Kyambura gorge to trek chimpanzees. This walk will present sights of baboons, black & white colobus monkeys and red colobus monkeys. Dine and slumber at Jacana Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge
Day 8: Queen – Bwindi Gorilla Park
Following breakfast, have a game drive on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will drive through the impressive Ishasha region prominent for its resident tree climbing lions. Check in at Bwindi, rest and later enjoy a community walk within the surrounding communities. Dine and sleep at Buhoma community Bandas or Gorilla resort.
Day 9: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in the Bwindi Gorilla Park
Wake-up to an early breakfast then proceed to the park head offices for a briefing prior to entering the forest in search for the mountain Gorillas. by 9:00am you will start out in the forest. The activity is quite unpredictable but lasts from 2 to 8 hours basing on the gorilla’s movements. Gorilla tracking involves trekking steep rocks, and moving across the undulating terrain. Nevertheless, the excitements of coming face to face with the gorillas will rob you off all the tiredness and reward you with wonderful memories. Dine and sleep at Buhoma homestead or Gorilla Resort
Day 1O: Lake Bunyonyi and the Switzerland of Africa
After an early breakfast, head to Lake Bunyonyi. This is a very spectacular destination with beautiful small islands and enclosed by steep terraced slopes. It is renowned as a birding paradise with several aquatic birds. The lake was name Bunyonyi to mean the small birds. Dine and sleep at Lake Bunyonyi overland Camp
Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi and its Islands Tour
Enjoy canoeing in the morning on this stunning lake to see the various bird species. Dine and sleep at Lake Bunyonyi overland Camp
Day 12: Lake Mburo National Park
Following a delicious breakfast, set off to Lake Mburo National Park. This park is famous for its numerous antelopes among which are impalas after which Uganda’s capital city was named –Kampala. Drive past breathtaking sceneries of the country side to arrive in the afternoon at Lake Mburo National Park. You will break for lunch before going for a canoe ride on the Lake as look for the various animals on the lake shore. Dine and sleep at Rwonyo Camp or at Mantana tented Camp.
Day 13: Lake Mburo Wildife Tour
After breakfast have a morning game drive and later explore the flora and fauna of the park in the afternoon. The park is also renowned as a bird-watching paradise with more than 300 species in book. Dine and sleep at Rwonyo Camp or Mantana tented Camp
Day 14: Kampala Return Trip
Following breakfast head back to Kampala. Make a break at the equator to take some photos and visit the craft shop, and then arrive in Kampala in the later afternoon. Enjoy lunch and relax in the hotel for the rest of the day. Dine and sleep at Hotel Africana or Sheraton Hotel.
Day 15: Kampala City Tour
After an early breakfast, have a city tour in Kampala to visit the various sites like the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, Wamala Tombs Bahai Temple and the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine. After lunch you will drive to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home.
