Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, our safari guide will pick you from the hotel for a drive to Fort portal town, one of the best heritage cities in Uganda. This journey is rewarding with sceneries of lush homesteads, tea plantations and farms of the beautiful rural country side of Uganda. You will have lunch enroute and reach in the afternoon then proceed to Ndali lodge/ Primates Lodge/ Rwenzori View Guest House for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Tour
After breakfast, proceed to the moist tropical rainforest for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park.uganda apes This park is known for harbouring the largest number of primates. The search for chimpanzees may reward you with other primates such as the grey Mangabeys, pottos, colobus monkeys, bush babies, baboons and many more. In the afternoon you will go for a walk to the Bigodi Wetland characterised with unique flora and fauna in this area. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Primates Lodge/ Rwenzori View Guest House.
Day 3: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast we shall embark on the journey to Uganda’s highest biodiversity park – Queen Elizabeth National Park. Reaching the park by afternoon, we shall catch the boat ride on the Kazinga channel. This launch trip is rewarding with excellent views of a number of animals such as hippos, buffaloes, elephants and plenty of birds that characterize the shores of Lake George and Edward. In the evening, go for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Ihamba Safari Lodge
Day 4: Chimpanzees tracking in Kyambura gorge
Start your day with early morning game drive through the park. After lunch go to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. These close relatives of man will be searched for within the confines of a forested river gorge carved into the surroundings flat savannah. The walk is captivating and will reward you with other game or primates. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Ihamba Safari Lodge.
Day 5: Queen – Bwindi Gorilla Park
Drive through the Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Expect to see the tree climbing Lions and other game like the Uganda Kob, elephants, topi and many more. You will reach in the afternoon and go for a walk in the neighbouring communities and also get entertainment from the local performances, do shopping of crafts. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 6: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Gorilla Park
Wake up and have breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters and get briefed before you enter the park-gorilla tracking. This will start at 9:00 am and you will walk /trail through the forest tracks that are steep (if its a rainy season) therefore you should ask for a walking stick if you need one. This is a strenuous activity but the ecstasy obtained on encountering these humble giants erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them. The time its takes to meet mans’ close relatives is unpredictable but it ranges between 2-8 hours depending on their movement. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma Community Bandas.
